The VCU Young Democrats are holding officer elections NEXT MONDAY 8pm, below Shafer @ Rodneys's. I urge everyone to review the list of officers below and to run for an office.

This will be sent out to our members via email before the election. Send the email to me by 7:30pm on Monday April 27th. If you have any questions about the offices or the elections process, please email them to me.
We will vote on our new officers on April 27th:
President
The President shall serve as a strong chief executive of the organization. He/She shall oversee the organization on a day-to-day basis and make interim organizational decisions. The president shall serve as the official representative of the organization to the Democratic Party and the Virginia Young Democrats. The president shall call events and meetings and ensure that the event is a success. The President or a designated individual shall lead events and meetings.
Vice President of Communication
The Vice-President of Communication shall be responsible for developing innovative communication strategies for the organization. He/She or a designated individual shall develop flyers/banners advertising our organization and its events. The Vice-President of Communication shall develop releases and with the cooperation of the president; serve as the spokesperson for the organization.
Vice President of Finance
The Vice-President of Finance or his or her designee shall present a report at each officers meeting. Such report shall include, but is not limited to, the balance of funds in the Club's financial accounts. The Club�s financial records shall be open to inspection by any member of the Club at any reasonable time. The Vice-President of Finance shall also be in charge of maintaining an account of all club owned materials and inventories.
Vice President of Volunteer Coordination
The Vice-President of Volunteer Coordination shall lead internal and external efforts requiring organized volunteers. Internally the volunteer coordinator shall lead efforts to put up event flyers and supporting our internal events. Externally, the volunteer coordinator shall work with campaigns so as to be a resource liaison by tapping volunteer resources and organizing the logistics of operations (transportation, communication, and refreshments). This officer will contact members via telephone and email to solicit their help with aforementioned activities.
Vice President of Membership Development
The Vice-President of Membership Development shall be responsible for increasing our membership on campus. The officer will also oversee the maintenance of organizations membership records.
Vice President of Hospitality
The Vice-President of Hospitality shall oversee the fun side of our events. This officer will oversee obtaining and setting up of refreshments. Also this officer shall, from time to time, organize off campus social events for the organization.
Photographer
The Photographer shall record a photographic history of our events. These photos shall be posted to our website.
Webmaster
The webmaster shall maintain and develop the VCU YD website and other IT applications.
